Overview

The Geotechnical team includes more than 80 employees who, in recent years, have participated in major projects such as the Réseau express métropolitain (REM), the Samuel‑De Champlain Bridge, and the development of Quebec’s battery industry.

Your Role
  • Monitor drilling and trench excavation work for geotechnical and environmental exploration;
  • Collect and describe soil, rock, and groundwater samples;
  • Perform surveying using GPS and/or level;
  • Use specialized equipment such as geo-camera, inflatable packers, dilatometer, pressuremeter, vane shear tester, and others;
  • Draft and complete various site reports;
  • Report technical issues to the project manager or coordinator;
  • Comply with current safety measures.
About You
  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in environment, civil engineering, mineral technology, or a university degree in geology or equivalent;
  • Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience;
  • Knowledge in soil identification;
  • Able to communicate in French (oral and written) and English* (oral is an asset);
  • Hold an ASP Construction safety card;
  • Knowledge of measuring instruments used on site;
  • Be in good physical condition;
  • Available to work different shifts;
  • Available to travel frequently, including to remote areas;
  • Hold a valid driver's license in Quebec.

*This position requires knowledge of another language besides French, namely English, as you will be part of a Canadian, global, or regional management team and will need to collaborate with colleagues outside Quebec.
