A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Site Manager for their Taber Health Centre. South Rural West Corridor-AHS, has an exciting opportunity for a leader looking to influence and support healthcare for the residents of the town of Taber and area in beautiful southern Alberta. The Taber Health Centre is a busy rural hospital providing 24 x 7 services including Emergency, Obstetrics—with an integrated team of Midwifery, Physicians and Nurses, Medicine, Surgery, Endoscopy, Continuing Care and Palliative Care. The facility consists of 19 acute care beds and 10 continuing care beds. Located in the southwest corridor of Alberta's magnificent prairie, outdoor activities are on your doorstep in this amazing community and only 40 minutes to Lethbridge with all the amenities the ‘bridge’ city has to offer. The Site Manager is accountable for the delivery of high quality, accessible, sustainable, patient and family-focused care. The Site Manager has direct managerial accountability for frontline clinical operations of the site. In collaboration with the Rural Director, the Site Manager will assess the needs of the site, create plans to meet the budget targets and execute strategic and operational priorities for the Taber Health Centre. This includes developing and implementing site-based plans, ensuring the effective deployment of budgeted resources, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on high quality, best practices to support the growing population of the area.
Lead the clinical operations of the Taber Health Centre within the area of accountability. In collaboration with the Rural Director, inform the development of the site operational plan and operational priorities. Ensure the effective deployment of human resources, and create a safe, healthy and inclusive workplace where employees and physicians can reach their full potential. Ensure the appropriate allocation of fiscal and capital resources across the area of accountability, and manage the operating budget, including budget forecasting and expenditure monitoring in accordance with established AHS policies and practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the assigned rural site to ensure the ongoing evolution of high-quality healthcare. Using effective change management practices, manage initiatives to improve the overall clinical operations within the site. Provide site management for the Taber Health Centre. Through both managerial and cross‑functional accountabilities and authorities, act as the primary point of management for issues that relate specifically to the site (e.g. capital improvement, patient flow). Pursue quality and innovative initiatives that optimise the day‑to‑day functioning of the site through standardisation and implementation of best practices. Maintain strong working relationships with key leaders and stakeholders to provide operational and interdepartmental leadership that integrates the site as a whole. Respond to or coordinate a response to patient/family feedback that directly relates to site-based issues.
