One of our clients, a major oil and gas company, has tasked us with finding a Site Experience Coordinatorfor a 2-year contract based in Kitimat, working Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.

This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone with a passion for communications, stakeholder engagement, and event coordination in a dynamic industrial environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Communications & Reputation Manager, the Site Experience Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Corporate Relations team. This includes delivering strategic and tactical communications, organizing site tours and stakeholder events, and supporting internal communications for the site workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute stakeholder tours and JVP visits, including high-level site briefings.
  • Develop and deploy communications that highlight project milestones, performance, and company values.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder engagement events and programs.
  • Support internal communications channels such as Yammer, town halls, video content, and digital signage.
  • Collaborate with site leaders to gather and edit content for workforce communications.
  • Ensure contractors and subcontractors adhere to internal and external communications standards.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders.
  • Provide backup support for emergency and crisis communications.
  • Assist with media and social media engagements and on-site branding.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in communications or event planning.
  • Post-secondary degree in Communications or Public Relations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Strategic thinker, proactive, flexible, and results-oriented.
  • Experience in crisis communications is an asset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking on additional responsibilities.
  • Valid driver’s license (on-site driving is required).
  • Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends as needed.
