Job summary

A dedicated healthcare provider in Ontario is looking for a Shift Nurse to deliver exceptional care, particularly to pediatric clients, during night shifts. The ideal candidate will have experience in community care or clinical settings, possess strong critical thinking skills, and be certified as an RN or RPN. You will engage in patient care, medication administration, and coordination with caregivers while thriving in a compassionate environment that values flexibility and independence. Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in community care or clinical/hospital setting.
  • Current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Ability to provide a current Mask Fit test certification.

Title: Shift Nurse

Location: York Area - Aurora, Richmond Hill, Maple, Vaughan, Thornhill, King City, Stouffville, Newmarket

Employment Type: Part time

Scheduled Required: 11:00 pm to 7:00 am (3 days per week)

We are looking for a Shift Nurse (RN or RPN) who is comfortable providing care to our clients. Our next Shift Nurse will thrive in a culture made for caring where being flexible and possessing strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills will drive the success of their role.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Experience working with pediatric clients is required.
  • Deliver compassionate, client-centered care with specialized expertise in tracheostomy management, ventilator support, nasogastric tube care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Administer medications and assist with personal care routines.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with parents and other caregivers.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to community-based care.
  • Prepare and maintain client reports and updates.
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients through empathy, consistency, and trust.
  • Demonstrate initiative and independence, thriving with minimal supervision.
  • Prioritize safety for both yourself and your clients, adhering to best practices and protocols.

  • You are a highly energetic and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
  • Exceptionally organized, with strong time management skills and the ability to effectively manage your schedule.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing you to connect clearly and confidently.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a community care or clinical/hospital setting is preferred.
  • Currently certified as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Certified in Standard First Aid & CPR/AED (Level C).
  • Able to provide a current Mask Fit test certification.
