Job summary

A leading automotive manufacturing company in Windsor is seeking a Set-Up Technician. The role involves setting up molds, operating overhead cranes, and maintaining production standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience with molding presses and a secondary school diploma. Compensation ranges from $27.96 to $30.16 per hour. This role provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety and teamwork. Candidates with a college education will be preferred.

Set-Up Technician

This position offers a compensation range of $27.96/hr. – $30.16/hr., dependent on skills and experience.

This posting is for an existing, currently vacant position within Plasman.

The Set-Up Technician or designate will set-up molds and maintain related equipment of all jobs to maintain daily production requirements at Plasman, Windsor 1 Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Mold set-up as per procedure outlined
• Maintain mold storage area
• Operate overhead cranes in a safe manner
• Set-up end of arm tooling on robots
• Ensure proper set-up as set out by the Production Supervisor/Lead Process Technician/Process Technician
• Assist any other personnel when available and when required
• Ensure equipment is in good mechanical condition to provide safe operation
• Comply with established rules, procedures and health and safety mandates
• Ensure that a clean and safe work environment is always maintained
• Complete any other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Skills and Experience We're Looking For

• Must possess a secondary school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to those who have completed some or all of a College level program
• Must have a minimum of 3 years working with molding presses and have an excellent working knowledge of molds (preference given to those who have previous set-up experience)
• Ability to perform well in high pressure situations
• Ability to work well in unsupervised atmosphere
• Access to reliable transportation
