Job description
We Don’t Just Hire People - We Build Teammates. (And Office Heroes.)

Hudson is a different kind of security, doors, automation, and locksmithing company.

We’re part construction, part tech, part problem-solvers, part "MacGyver meets Mythbusters," and part "laugh until someone snorts."

We protect people, property, and livelihoods—and we never forget the responsibility that comes with that.

But we also celebrate National Pretzel Day.

We run rock-paper-scissors tournaments for a 5-pound chocolate bunny.

We roast each other’s inner nerds (lovingly), and we take pride in the fact that Hudson laughs together - a lot.

If you’re the person who keeps the engine running, the schedules aligned, and the customers happy—and you do it all with a great attitude… keep reading.

The Mission: Service & Project Coordinator

This is an essential inside role— the air traffic control of our entire service and projects division. You are the liaison between the customer, the service manager, the technicians, and the project department. You are the one who turns a call or an email into a completed, professional job.

What You’ll Be Doing (The Core Responsibilities)
  • Customer Service & Support: Assisting the Service Manager in providing top-tier customer experience, answering calls, and managing client inquiries with clarity and a smile.
  • Scheduling & Dispatching: Organizing and optimizing the daily schedules for our field technicians, dispatching them to service calls and projects efficiently.
  • Project Quoting & Invoicing: Preparing clear, professional quotations for jobs and projects, and ensuring customers are invoiced accurately and promptly upon completion.
  • Project Department Support: Stepping in to support the Project Management team as needed, ensuring all administrative tasks are covered for large-scale installations.
  • Administrative Backbone: Maintaining accurate records, tracking job progress, and ensuring all required digital documentation is completed by the field team.
The Hudson Coordinator Career Path

At Hudson, we don’t do dead-end positions. A successful Service/Project Coordinator role is a direct path into leadership and management.

This role is a launching pad for ambitious individuals looking to grow into:

  • Service Management: Taking ownership of the entire service department operations.
  • Project Management: Leading and executing large-scale, complex installations from start to finish.
  • Estimation & Sales: Utilizing your technical knowledge to help scope and sell new projects.
  • Operations & Systems Development: Helping to refine our internal processes, training, and technology.
Who Thrives At Hudson (And Who… Doesn’t)

You’re applying for the center of the wheel—the person who keeps everything from flying off the rails.

You Will Thrive Here If You
  • Are a Juggler: You can manage a ringing phone, an open email inbox, a technician waiting on a part, and a customer needing a quote—all without breaking a sweat (or your composure).
  • Love Process & Optimization: You have a growth mindset and look for ways to make the schedule tighter, the quoting faster, and the customer experience smoother.
  • Are Humble, Competent, and Caring: You are a skilled professional who also brings warmth and a positive attitude to every interaction.
  • Have a Great Sense of Humour: You can laugh at yourself and appreciate a team where people genuinely like working together.
  • Can Lead One Day and Assist the Next: You’re ready to take ownership of a problem but also happy to jump in and file paperwork when needed.
  • Despise “we’ve always done it that way” thinking.
You Will NOT Thrive Here If You
  • Are unteachable.
  • Are arrogant or disrespectful to field staff.
  • Are rude.

We say it clearly: No jerks. No exceptions.

Smarter, Not Harder - Technology At Hudson

We pride ourselves on modern, tech-enabled operations. You will be instrumental in making sure these systems are used effectively.

You’ll Become a Master Of
  • Our cloud-based field management system for scheduling, quoting, and invoicing.
  • Digital work orders, schedules, and reports.
  • Modern internal communication channels.
  • Our internal AI-powered intranet for knowledge and support.
What Hudson Offers
  • Competitive Salary $44,000-$57,000 Annually (Commensurate with experience and based on role).
  • Medical, dental, vision, life & disability benefits.
  • Paid time off.
  • Quarterly reviews + real career growth.
  • Company events.
  • A team with heart, humour & drive.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Coordinator, Dispatch, or similar administrative role (preferably in a service or construction environment).
  • Exceptional customer service, organization, and computer skills.
  • Proficiency with modern office software (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).
  • Clean criminal record check.
  • A calm, problem-solving demeanor.
