MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Vice President of Asset Management on behalf of our client, a well-established and privately held real estate investment, development, and management firm with a diversified portfolio of commercial, industrial, and residential properties across Western Canada. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role and drive performance across a growing portfolio.

Take ownership of a multi-asset portfolio and shape asset strategy, optimization, and long-term value creation with a collaborative, high-performing executive team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead asset management strategy and execution across a diverse real estate portfolio
  • Develop and implement asset-level business plans, including leasing, capital expenditures, repositioning, and dispositions
  • Monitor portfolio performance, KPIs, and financial returns to maximize value
  • Collaborate with internal teams (investment, development, leasing, and property management) to ensure aligned objectives and timely execution
  • Oversee annual budgets, quarterly reporting, and hold / sell analyses
  • Maintain relationships with joint venture partners, lenders, and key stakeholders
  • Stay informed on market trends, valuations, and risks to inform decision-making
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in asset management, real estate investment, or related fields
  • Proven track record overseeing performance of income-producing commercial and / or residential assets
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in pro formas, valuations, and asset modeling
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on leadership style and collaborative approach
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or related field (MBA or relevant designation an asset)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
