About the Role

As a Senior UX Product Designer, you’ll join the product team and play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of RocketRez’s platform. You’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, other designers, and stakeholders to design innovative features that simplify workflows and create exceptional user experiences. From wireframes to prototypes to final designs, your work will directly impact how our customers interact with and benefit from our platform while aligning our product with our guest-centric vision.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead collaborative sessions to drive clarity and alignment—facilitating brainstorming, problem definition, and prioritization workshops with cross-functional teams.
• Create actionable outcomes by guiding decision-making, documenting next steps, and ensuring team alignment from discovery through delivery.
• Create design artifacts across the spectrum: journey maps, wireframes, clickable prototypes, polished UI, documentation, and developer-ready specs
• Actively participate in stand-ups, brainstorming sessions, demos, and design reviews to ensure alignment across teams.
• Deliver design specifications, assets, and guidelines to engineering for seamless execution.

User-Centered Design Process

• Conduct and synthesize user research to deeply understand operator and guest needs.
• Translate research findings into actionable insights that inform design decisions.
• Contribute to our design system to ensure consistency across all visual elements and user interfaces.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Iterate on designs based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and team members.
• Help establish best practices for UX/UI design within the organization.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and innovative company culture by contributing ideas and solutions beyond your immediate responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a product design role at a digital startup or SaaS company.
• Strong expertise in interaction design, user-centered design principles, and usability best practices.
• Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma, or similar platforms.
• Experience creating wireframes, prototypes (low-to-high fidelity), mockups, and detailed UI specifications.
• A portfolio that demonstrates systems thinking, clear interaction design, and attention to detail for complex digital products (data-rich SaaS platforms preferred).

• Familiarity with front-end development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) or coding experience as a designer who can code!
• A track record of building or contributing to scalable design systems from scratch.
