Overview

Agricorp is looking for a Full-time Permanent Senior Test Analyst to join the Enabling Services team within the Information Technology division. The Senior Test Analyst will be responsible for end-to-end system testing of recurring Annual Business Cycle activities as well as testing new system enhancements to support Agricorp delivered programs. These systems include our in-house written Data Management System (.Net web application), Customer Document Management system (SharePoint) and Agricorp Customer Online Services (a .Net Web application) for digital services.

Responsibilities
  • Review and understand, in detail, the system related expectations.
  • Create detailed test plans using static analysis and testing of user requirements, user stories, system requirements definition, and functional or logical specifications to ensure the adherence of system functionality to expectations.
  • Use prior knowledge and experience to consider the scope of testing through all phases of the project or initiative.
  • Collaborate with team members to facilitate testing methodically and efficiently.
  • Conduct end-to-end testing within and across integrated applications and technical platforms.
  • Ensure appropriate test coverage to ensure quality.
  • Improve test methods to help decrease manual effort and timelines.
  • Recommend industry best practices, testing tools and technology to help improve existing processes and procedures.
  • Use knowledge and experience to anticipate areas of risk in systems and prioritize testing to find important defects early.
  • Conduct tests, evaluate actual results and raise variance reports as required.
  • Assist test analysts in resolving problems and issues of moderate complexity.
  • Provide senior technical assistance and support to test analysts.
  • Coach and share knowledge with test analysts and other staff, both within the department and across the division.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in system testing or quality assurance, including planning, writing and executing test plans and test cases
  • 3-5 years testing experience preferred within the following platforms: .Net web applications and SharePoint repository and libraries
  • Post-secondary education in an information technology-related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and the software test life cycle, including estimation and defining tests, test planning, requirement analysis, test cases, defect management and test monitoring
  • Experience compiling and analyzing data and creating reports and recommendations for management
  • Experience in estimating work effort, scheduling work and reporting progress on a regular basis
  • Experience writing queries against Oracle databases
  • Working or business knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) would be an asset
  • Testing of web application for multiple device usages and AODA requirements would be an asset
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent testing certifications and Agile testing experience would be an asset
