Job description
Senior Tech Recruiter - Digital Banking - Canada (contract)

At Aequilibrium (AEQ), we craft remarkable digital experiences by combining strategy, experience design, and technology implementation services. We work with financial institutions—particularly credit unions—in Canada and the US to deliver next-generation platforms powered by digital banking systems, CMS, and immersive tech like XR and AI.

We're looking for a seasoned Senior Technical Recruiter to help us scale our growing consulting and digital delivery teams with top-tier talent. If you've recruited for Canadian tech professional services companies and understand the intricacies of working with client stakeholders in regulated industries like financial services, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  1. End-to-end technical recruitment for contract and full-time roles within AEQ’s delivery teams across Canada and LATAM (when required).

  2. Work closely with internal hiring managers and client stakeholders to gather role requirements, align on hiring processes, and provide candidate feedback.

  3. Manage complex recruitment workflows including multiple interview stages involving clients, technical assessments, and background checks.

  4. Source and build strong candidate pipelines through direct outreach, LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and strategic sourcing campaigns.

  5. Maintain high candidate experience standards and manage communication throughout the hiring process.

  6. Partner with AEQ leadership to track hiring metrics, optimize pipeline conversion, and reduce time-to-fill for niche roles.

  7. Stay informed on talent market trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitor hiring activities.

Required Experience
  1. Seven+ years of technical recruitment experience with a focus on Canadian tech companies, preferably in consulting, digital agencies, or professional services environments.

  2. Proven success in recruiting for tech roles (such as project/program manager, business analyst/product owner, UI/UX designer, developer, solution architect, and automation tester) related to financial services, especially:

    1. Digital banking platforms such as Forge, VeriPark, Temenos, or Backbase.

    2. Engineering roles involving CMS platforms like Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Sitecore, or OpenText.

  3. Deep understanding of the nuances of client-involved hiring processes, including stakeholder interviews and external approvals.

  4. Demonstrated experience managing several concurrent requisitions while maintaining quality.

Bonus Points
  1. Experience working directly with clients to capture requirements, present shortlists, and incorporate feedback.

  2. Background in operations or recruiting operations within a digital agency or consulting firm.

  3. Exposure to immersive tech hiring (VR, AR, XR) is a plus.
