Our client, a leader in healthcare technology, is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join their team. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be part of the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team supporting automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Remote (with preference for Halifax, Canada)

Responsibilities

• Establish and evangelize best practices for modern API design and developer experience.
• Contribute to high-quality documentation, tutorials, and code libraries.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions to support SRE operations.
• Optimize Datadog monitors, SLI / SLO, observability dashboards, and alerts.
• Develop and maintain CI / CD workflows using GitHub Actions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven expertise in building scalable web services using Python and FastAPI.
• Strong working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes environments.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
