We are seeking a Senior Recruitment Coordinator to support our Human Resources team by playing a lead role in union recruitment activities, including coordinating directly with union representatives, superintendents, and internal stakeholders to fulfill workforce needs across multiple sites.

Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and implementation of innovative recruitment strategies.
- Prepare recruitment status reports for Superintendents to assist with workforce planning.
- Communicate with Superintendents and Managers regarding workforce requests, keeping them informed at all stages of hiring and onboarding.
- Enforce the right to choose as outlined in the collective agreement, ensuring the most qualified candidates are quickly and efficiently sent to work.
- Represent NACG at various in‑person hiring events, including Indigenous community events.
- Source qualified candidates to fill current and upcoming openings by determining best method(s) for recruiting.
- Develop and maintain standardized job posting templates based on approved job descriptions.
- Assist other members of the Recruitment team with screening candidates and interviewing.
- Make job offers to qualified individuals, including preparation of offer letters.
- Ensure the overall candidate experience during the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process is a positive one.
- Internal communications with departments such as training, IT, site administration, and maintenance.
- Leverage applicant tracking system (ATS) software to ensure efficiency in all recruitment, hiring, and onboarding practices.
- Create and maintain electronic files and ensure proper documentation is being saved.
- Monitor multiple shared inboxes and act on any internal or external requests received on behalf of the Human Resources Department.
- Act as a key point of contact for Recruitment Coordinators, providing guidance and delegating tasks as needed to support recruitment activities.
Qualifications
- Two to three years in a human resources administrative role, preferably in the industrial or construction sector.
- One year of recruiting‑related experience in the Construction sector, with preference for prior union environment exposure.
- Previous experience working with an online Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Previous experience working in high‑volume recruitment is an asset.
- Related Office Administration Diploma/Certificate, supplemented by specialized training or equivalent experience in Human Resources.
- Post‑secondary education in Human Resources preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (spoken/written/grammar/punctuation).
- Service‑and results‑oriented, proactive approach to recruitment and projects.
- Ability to multitask under tight deadlines; set priorities.
- High level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
- Ability to deescalate conflict over the telephone.
