As a Senior Project Manager, the incumbent is able to manage large, multi-faceted, complex projects or multiple projects concurrently and is capable of managing expectations and stakeholder interests that span several areas of the College. The projects managed by the Senior Project Manager are strategic and transformational in nature. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that best practices are undertaken and the benefits are being fully realized through the institution. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for defining the project requirements and is accountable for all project work during each process of the project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and close-out. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for key milestones for roll out, change management and communications plan, training required within the College as well as the definition and implementation of support models, if required.
The Senior Project Manager is accountable for delivering the identified project objectives on time and within budget. The incumbent is responsible for identifying, resourcing, and retaining project resource requirements and for managing the project work. The Senior Project Manager is also responsible for identifying stakeholders and managing the stakeholder engagement.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for providing professional project management leadership and for coaching and contributing to the professional development of project resources. The Senior Project Manager is expected to contribute significantly to the development of standard business processes, such as business case templates with measurable KPIs and project management standards, processes, and tools to grow the foundation of the Project Management Office (PMO) as well as contributing to the development of organizational service delivery and change management models.
