Summary

The position of Project Manager has overall accountability for the delivery of a solution from the Pre‑Sales phase through to the Close‑out of projects. The Project Manager is responsible for the structuring and delivery of moderately complex solutions across Bell Business Markets (BBM) account base on time within budget and according to customer contracted requirements. The project management plans will include a project charter, project plan, communications plan, risk management plan and an implementation schedule. Some financial and business acumen is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Project Manager delivers complex wireline projects in accordance to the ISO Certified Quality Management System, preparing all necessary documentation required according to PMI based methodology
  • Accountable for the delivery of all projects and engagements from initiation to close out by demonstrating solution delivery leadership (knowledge, effective planning, coordination and decision‑making)
  • Coaching and mentorship of Project Management resources
  • Document, communicate, manage and mitigate risks for the schedule, scope and budget
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management (understand client needs and identify and engage all relevant parties)
  • Management of implementation timeline and dependencies
  • Protect project scope and initiate change requests as required
  • Accountable to escalate risks and issues for executive visibility and ensure prompt resolution
  • Champion the customer relationship and experience throughout the solution delivery journey
  • Ensure project health through robust financial management (costs, revenues, margins, other expenses)
  • Lead or participate in project meetings internal and external to Bell, collaborate with Program and Portfolio Managers to support executive reporting
  • Prepares all necessary documentation required according to PMI based methodology
  • Contribute to the evolution of the project management practice and project management role
Critical Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma in related discipline and 5 years related experience
  • Advanced Project Management Skills; PMI’s PMP certification required or equivalent
  • Experience in coaching and conflict resolution skills
  • Highly developed organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills including the ability to solicit cooperation and resolve conflict
  • Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Effective customer relationship-building skills with the ability to instill confidence in the client
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and risk management skills
  • Resourceful and strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Robust understanding and experience in managing project financials
  • Team oriented; action oriented; self-motivated and delivery focused
  • Advanced competency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Superior data management and analysis skills
  • Demonstrated strong project coordination / support skills
  • Bilingualism an asset
Preferred Qualifications
  • Government of Canada Reliability or Secret Clearance
