Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis

This is a 18 month contract with a possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
- Design, obtain support and implement a program that defines how IMCO collects, stores and reports on total costs in a “one source of truth” approach.
- Develop and maintain cost data and complex financial models to efficiently budget and forecast costs, with flexibility to run multiple scenarios for internal stakeholders.
- Partner with HR, Finance and Portfolio Construction teams to maintain inputs, controls and key planning assumptions related to financial models.
- Advise business unit leaders and provide actionable analysis to help manage costs, focusing on Operating Expenses and Other Investment-Management costs.
- Support an efficient and comprehensive process for developing financial plans (annual budgets, forecasts and longer-term strategic plans) that links analysis to IMCO’s strategic objectives.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses of targeted line items and expense categories as requested by the CFO and executive team.
- Prepare high-quality financial analysis and presentations for executives, senior management, clients, and Boards of Directors.
- Serve as finance business partner to HR, Client Relationship Management, Enterprise Risk, IT & Data, Investment Operations, and Finance.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts related to Budget/forecasting processes and Adaptive Insights (IMCO’s corporate budgeting and planning tool).
- Maintain and enhance the Enterprise Cost Allocation model in Adaptive Insights to ensure transparent and equitable cost allocation.
- Prepare Cost Allocation analysis and reports by asset class to support informed decisions and performance reporting.
- Work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while contributing to scalable processes.
- Prepare process documentation with clearly defined roles, responsibilities and embedded controls.
- Support a culture of financial transparency and continuous improvement.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
What you need to succeed
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in financial analysis with expertise in complex financial models.
- Experience in the asset management industry with understanding of operating expenses and other investment-management costs for diverse investment strategies.
- Professional designation such as CFA or CPA or MBA degree.
- Experience presenting complex information to senior executives and other audiences.
- Superior communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships across the enterprise.
- Experience partnering with technology teams to configure financial tools to optimize productivity.
- Expert-level skills in Workday Financial Management and Adaptive Insights.
- Expert-level skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint and business intelligence tools.
- Experience developing and maintaining complex financial models.
- Experience leading projects is an asset; multi-client experience is an asset.
- Ability to manage expectations of internal and external clients.
- Process improvement and governance mindset.
