Your role:
  • Working closely with all Tax Partners and other Senior staff on business tax compliance, tax provision and tax advisory engagements
  • Manage and coordinate tax planning and compliance services for individuals requiring US and Canadian income or estate tax filings
  • Manage risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections and project budgets
  • Review assessments and correspond with the IRS, state authorities and CRA on various issues
  • Build and manage client relationships at a senior level; advise clients by delivering high quality tax service and advice
  • Actively mentor and coach staff to their highest potential
  • Supporting and mentoring firm staff in respect of tax matters
  • Identifying client service opportunities
What you bring to the table:
  • US and/or Canadian Professional Accounting Designation (CPA)
  • Minimum of 5 year’s relevant work experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Canada-US Tax Treaty
  • Completion of the In-Depth Tax Program or Masters of Tax Program
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a demanding workload and multiple deadlines
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to coach and develop team members
  • Proficiency in CaseWare, TaxPrep, and Microsoft Office
