The Ontario Cannabis Store provides safe, responsible access to recreational cannabis for adults 19 and older . We operate the provincial online store for recreational cannabis in Ontario and are the exclusive provincial wholesaler to authorized private retail stores.

About the Role

As the Senior Manager, Business Engagement, you’ll be the key connector between our IT department and business units across the organization. You’ll lead a team of Business Relationship Managers, drive platform strategy, and ensure our technology solutions align with business goals. This is your chance to shape the future of enterprise applications in a dynamic, purpose-driven organization.

About Your Day

  • Build strong relationships with business leaders and act as their trusted IT advisor.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities where IT can provide solutions to business challenges
  • Develop and maintain platform roadmaps, align IT initiatives with business goals, and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Oversee project delivery, ensure clear communication, and manage expectations across departments.
  • Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Business Relationship Managers.
  • Navigate complex challenges, manage competing priorities, and foster a culture of transparency and accountability.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent years of experience
  • 10+ years in IT business relationship management, product management, or similar roles
  • 7+ years of people leadership experience
  • Experience driving the vision, roadmap and execution of technical platforms
  • Expertise in platforms like Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP – D365), Omnichannel Ecommerce (B2B and B2C), Digital Asset Management (DAM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Order Management Systems (OMS)
  • Strong business acumen and a knack for solving complex problems
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in retail, wholesale, or omnichannel environments is a plus
  • Experience managing IT projects utilizing project management methodologies (i.e. agile, scrum) and project management tools (i.e. JIRA, confluence)
  • Certifications like PMP, ITIL, or equivalent are an asset

About the Job

  • This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule. The current in office requirement is a minimum of 3 days/week (may be more depending on business needs). The OCS office is located near York Mills and Yonge St. However, OCS reserves the right to change this policy and its office location at any time.

Compensation

The target hiring range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000. This is a pay grade 8 role, with a salary range of $94,694.96 - $147,126.98. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
