Overview

Job Title: Senior Lead, Procurement Operations. Job ID: 82366. Location: Victoria, British Columbia.

What you will be doing
  • Lead daily procurement operations activities, ensuring alignment with strategic sourcing and vendor and contracts management teams.
  • Coordinate and balance workloads within the Operations team.
  • Support administrative tasks for Contracting and Sourcing teams.
  • Engage stakeholders to capture sourcing needs, primarily in Technology and Professional Services.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for staff augmentation, managed services, and business process delivery.
  • Coordinate multi-department stakeholder input for market solicitation development and evaluation.
  • Support and conduct low- to medium-risk sourcing and contracting.
  • Analyze and improve workflow processes as directed.
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining sourcing, vendor, and contract management processes and tools.
  • Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and execute contracting activities.
  • Track and report contract management benefits such as cost savings and avoidance.
  • Maintain vendor profiles throughout contract lifecycles and collaborate on vendor performance.
  • Prepare briefs and presentations for various organizational levels.
  • Administer contracts in accordance with vendor management procedures.
  • Handle special projects and recommend process improvements as needed.
  • Assist with contract worker onboarding/offboarding.
  • Provide administrative support for RFXs and sourcing processes, including document preparation and scheduling.
  • Develop with manager, document control for Procurement.
  • Support source-contract-procure-to-pay activities and other related duties as required.
What you must have
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related field or combination of education and expertise in contracts and procurement as determined by the company
  • Over 4 years of progressive experience in category management, strategic sourcing, and contract management, in IT/Technology, or Professional Services categories of supply
  • Direct procurement experience with assessing and developing public sector sourcing strategies, categories and conducting complex sourcing events such as RFXs, RFQ, etc. for key services including staff augmentation, managed services, and vendor business process management.
  • Experience with contract management and sourcing for strategic vendors, including consulting firms and technology providers
  • Experience with the Source-to-Pay including Procure-to-Pay process and various procurement process workflows.
  • Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills, and a clients-first approach.
  • Knowledge of contracting and vendor management for on-premises, cloud, subscriptions, licensing and services
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office applications is required (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
