About the Opportunity

As a key member of our IT team you will serve as an escalation point for complex issues lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level solutions and support continuous service improvement initiatives. You will also play an essential role in maintaining a stable and secure network environment and mentoring junior IT staff.

The ideal candidate will have experience in telecommunications technical networking and frontline technical and / or systems support. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential as is the ability to convey complex information in a clear and actionable manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design deploy and maintain enterprise-level IT solutions including:
  • Cloud-based and on-prem telephone systems integrated with nurse call solutions
  • Building access control
  • CCTV systems
  • Wired and wireless networking
  • Various other low voltage systems
  • Oversee network performance switch configurations and system security
  • Administer and audit Active Directory manage user accounts
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support projects and resolve issues
  • Research and implement emerging technologies to support business objectives
  • Provide tier 3 support for complex internal system issues
  • Provide guidance training and mentorship to junior staff
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and provide emergency support as needed
  • Ensure compliance with IT best practices policies and security standards
  • Maintain documentation and support business continuity planning
About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement collaboration and accountability you bring :

  • A degree or diploma in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A Network or similar Aruba Networking Certified Professional are considered an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in technical support
  • Experience in healthcare or related industry is considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Office 365 network design and implementation firewalls telephony systems (cloud and on-prem) low-voltage systems such as access control and cameras and cybersecurity best practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving planning and organizational abilities
  • Ability to lead initiatives and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • High level of customer service orientation and professionalism
  • Valid drivers license and willingness to travel and work flexible hours including evenings / weekends
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and / or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations services and care.
