The position of SeniorGIS Analyst is to contribute and grow our geospatial capability. This role combines GIS Analyst and GIS development skills to assist with modernizing our GIS Architecture and expanding the GIS teams capability.

Position Description
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize GIS data, layers, and map products using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, Network Analyst, and ArcGIS Online.
  • Create, publish, and manage web and field applications (i.e. Collector, Field Maps, Dashboards).
  • Conduct spatial analysis and data modeling to support routing, service planning, and business decisions.
  • Produce high-quality map series for operational and customer reporting.
  • Maintain data accuracy and version control across multiple project areas and municipalities.
  • Work with inter-discipline teams to align GIS efforts with business objectives.
  • Maintain schedules, deliverables, and priorities across multiple active projects.
  • Support data integration with business systems such as Data Warehouse and ERP systems.
  • Technically support Jr GIS staff, ensuring quality control and technical knowledge sharing.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in GIS, Geography or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional GIS experience.
  • ESRI Certifications or training.
  • Expert using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and Network Analyst.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Experience with FME, ETL tools, and spatial modelling.
  • Familiarity with web GIS frameworks (Leaflet, OpenLayers) and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong understanding spatial data management, and data conversion workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience producing operational maps and managing field applications.
  • Knowledge of waste and recycling operations or municipal infrastructure is an asset.

Salary range -($95,000 - $105,000)
