A leading utility corporation in Hay River is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. The role involves overseeing financial forecasting, variance analysis, and budget processes while providing advice on utility rates. Successful candidates will hold a bachelor's degree in business, have a professional accounting designation, and possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $61.89/hr to $75.21/hr along with a comprehensive benefits package.
Participates as a member of the Financial Planning & Analysis Group and leads forecasting, variance analysis, the annual budget process and utility rate regulation applications of the Corporation. The incumbent will provide oversight and monitoring of activities related to the compiling and preparation of capital and operational material for regulatory and financial reporting purposes.
Develops, and leads quality control reviews for the Corporation’s various forecasts and conducts variance analyses for both management and regulatory purposes. The Senior Financial Analyst also assists in determining the cost of service by rate class for the development of electrical and non‑electrical rates and provides advice to internal and external customers regarding rates.
Salary for this position ranges from $61.89/hr - $75.21/hr plus location allowance of approximately $3,823 per annum.
