Job Title: Financial Analyst/Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Cambridge, ON | On-site

Job Type: Full-time

The Position

The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the preparation of accurate financial reports in accordance with local generally accepted accounting principles and Eclipse corporate policies; development of business plans and budgets; monitoring and analyzing financial metrics so profitability goals are achieved; and maintenance of a comprehensive set of internal controls, while delivering the Eclipse Vision and Entrepreneurial Culture.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual budget and regular updates throughout the year
  • Monitor expenditures to budget and report discrepancies
  • Audit and verify accuracy of general ledger coding as it pertains to budget allocation
  • Input and process wire payments, online bill payments, EFT payments and, account transfers
  • Support month end and year end closing activities including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and working papers
  • Implement and monitor cross functional business policies, procedures and internal controls while making recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Support the timely completion of external and internal audits
  • Provide backup Payroll support while maintaining compliance with legislation
  • Provide support and guidance to more junior team members
  • Liaise with other Eclipse business units to provide support and share best practices
What We’re Looking For
  • Business Diploma/Degree specializing in Accounting or equivalent experience
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) designation or relative designations or certifications
  • 5+ years professional experience in an Accounting department
  • Experience in automation industry or project accounting environment
  • Previous experience with Sage 50 and/or Epicor
