The Reliability Requirements team has a focus on the future reliability of Alberta’s electric system in the areas of system strength, frequency stability, and flexibility. As the complexity of the system and associated ISO rules and Alberta reliability standards increases, the AESO requires expertise in these areas to ensure sound guidance to internal and external parties.
Reporting to the Manager, Reliability Requirements & Market Support, we are looking for a Senior Engineer to support reliability through the interpretation and application of ISO rules and Alberta reliability standards. In this position, you will provide guidance and perform engineering studies with respect to ancillary services and their integration into the restructured energy market. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary, and a variable pay program. We support a hybrid work environment, where the team is in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Mondays and Fridays are flexible for where you work best.
