Our client, a major employer in the Maritimes, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their established and high-performing team. In this role, you’ll help ensure the reliability and performance of critical infrastructure, support a range of upcoming large-scale technology initiatives, and drive efficiency and continuous improvement across existing assets. The role is based out of their Newfoundland or Nova Scotia offices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with active membership in The Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador or Engineers Nova Scotia.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Background in electric utility operations, HVdc facilities, and/or Control and Protection systems.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity is an asset.
  • Strong safety leadership; experience with maintenance shutdown planning is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Valid driver’s licence, with regular travel required between office locations.
  • Willingness to participate in after-hours consultation and emergency power restoration efforts.
