Position Scope:

As the Senior Director, Federal Accounts, your job is to create opportunity in a rapidly evolving segment, taking back control of the sales conversation and delivering customer experiences that build true loyalty. With ambitious growth targets, you will build a high-performance team that will deliver differentiated services to drive tangible outcomes with the Federal Government as the primary customer.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of serving National Defence‑related customers and Shared Services Canada, positioning the organization to expand its business footprint and elevate the brand within these strategic segments. You’ll drive initiatives to strengthen relationships and uncover new opportunities, ensuring solutions are perfectly tailored to the unique needs and objectives of these federal entities. By prioritizing growth and brand development in these areas, you’ll help elevate the organization’s reputation as a trusted partner in the Canadian Federal market.

Responsibilities:
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a federal sales team focused on delivering exceptional results for Canadian government clients. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Set ambitious sales targets and create actionable plans to expand the organization’s footprint within the Canadian federal sector, including National Defence, Shared Services Canada, and related agencies.
  • Utilize deep industry expertise and a consultative approach to understand client needs, challenge conventional thinking, and deliver tailored technology solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Establish and nurture executive‑level relationships with federal clients, OEM partners, and industry stakeholders. Represent the organization as a trusted advisor and solution integrator in the federal market.
  • Elevate the organization’s reputation as a leading technology partner for federal government entities by driving brand awareness, thought leadership, and innovative service delivery.
  • Work closely with internal teams, partners, and procurement specialists to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and fulfillment of client requirements.
  • Oversee financial performance, manage profit and loss responsibilities, and ensure compliance with federal contracting and security clearance processes.
  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent, supporting the planned expansion of the federal sales organization over the coming years.
  • Consistently deliver outstanding customer experiences, exceed expectations, and build long‑term loyalty through proactive engagement and value‑added solutions.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
  • Proven business impact in Federal sectors, with in‑depth knowledge of National Defence, Shared Services Canada, and public safety agencies.
  • Expert in Federal contracting vehicles for technology and professional services procurement.
  • Thorough understanding of CISD and departmental security clearance processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to build executive relationships with customers and partners.
  • Skilled in developing strategies for business growth via sales campaigns and targeted bids.
  • Willing to travel up to 25%.
Education and Experience:
  • Post‑secondary diploma or degree preferred.
  • Experience with MEDDPICC, bilingual in English and French, and active Federal security clearance considered an asset.
  • 10+ years of technology sales leadership in Federal markets preferred.
  • Direct experience with infrastructure, networking, security, and cloud solutions.
  • Experience overseeing organizational profit and loss statements and maintaining financial responsibility.
