Reporting to the VP, Business Banking Products , So lutions and Channels , the Senior Director will: Shape and build Business Banking 3-5 year Ascend strategy supporting digital and assisted channels. Deliver and socialize against the BB roadmap of capabilities delivery & execution roadmap in partnership with key stakeholders across all relevant partners at the bank such as technology, digital, frontline. Lead the development, communication, implementation and management of strategies, policies and programs related to project Ascend. Lead and drive technical and capability strategy guidance and professional advice on complex and conceptual issues to more junior specialized consultants, and lead projects, teams and work in concert with Platform leads, Tech senior leadership and executive teams

Lead, develop and implement a gainst the strategic vision and roadmap (including the framework, direction, policies and high‑level tactics) for project Ascend (including in existing and new transformational initiatives) and applications
Conduct research, data analysis and work session facilitation for large scale/complex proposals/initiatives, leading discussions with senior members of stakeholder groups to elicit and summarize and analyze information. Leverage a ‘one team’ approach to identify and prioritize capabilities, tactics and strategies that drive profitable revenue growth, adoption and usage of BB platforms (including digital) to support meeting client’s needs and in‑turn Frontline activities. Be a thought leader in transformation initiatives to optimize CIBC’s capability, efficiency and effectiveness that would lead to key competitive advantages of our bank in the future. Assess BB current and future business needs and opportunities relative to industry digital trends and current frontline technology state and conceptualize the means to get from "here" to "there" . Synchronize the objectives , resources and timing of several inter‑related programs and activities. Ensure that related issues, organizational risks and opportunities are identified and raised for consideration in the formulation and revision of policy and strategy. Support the assessment and feasibility investigation of complex proposed changes/initiatives, monitoring and summarizing quantifiable and qualitative results as appropriate.
Provide authoritative analysis, interpretation and opinion to support and guide senior and executive management and client groups, ensuring an understanding and acceptance of issues and influence the direction and nature of corporate policy. Ensure that employees and partners are well informed of the function's strategic direction and operation. Prepare and present reports on significant trends. Develop and support high‑level recommendations, approaches and solutions internally. Evaluate the impact of introducing new methods or services. Monitor the performance of corporate strategies, policies, programs, to ensure the fulfilment of strategic objectives and regulatory requirements . Recommend changes to programs, products or services as needed.
Lead and implement complex and/or large‑scale strategies, in partnership with Personal and Business Technology and Key strategic partners, by developing strategic scope documents, appropriate business cases, outlining costs, resources, timeframes and any other related requirements for highly complex business initiatives for all CIBC brands: Manage and coordinate various brainstorming, idea review and working sessions, summarizing them in succinct and coherent manner. Leveraging a strong understanding of the industry, establish a forward looking view that positions CIBC for sustained success and ensuring that CIBC advances digital banking . Facilitate discussions and consolidate ideas to establish a clear direction. Assess market and emerging digital opportunities for increased revenue growth and enhanced client experiences and stay relevant in advances within PBB. Elicit feedback from clients and employees to ensure that the tools/services are valued. Contribute to effective processes for enhancing and maintaining Channel Strategy and Integration projects in accordance with the Methodology for Project Management (MPM)
Process Transformation & BB Capabilities/workflows - To direct and have overall responsibility for the development and execution of iterative and sustainable, end‑to‑end, client journey improvement capabilities for across BB platforms. This includes developing the work plans to deliver on the BB proposition, Frontline Platform strategy and delivery and drive strategic segment growth . Key responsibility will be to continually document, refine and implementE2E processes and process improvements related to platforms and technologies and adjacent processes that support frontline users and clients. This includes using Process engineering methodology ( eg. DMAIC model) to identify and catalogue gaps and improvements, own process backlogs based on client and business benefit, as well as oversee cross‑functional working teams tasked with designing and delivering E2E processes and solutions .
