SENIOR DATA ENGINEER (Data Modeling Snowflake/dbt/ETL)

We are seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer to join our client's team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) pipelines for clients. They will collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and testers to deliver top-tier data analytics solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Mentor and guide junior data engineers
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of ELT pipelines on Snowflake
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements
• Implement data engineering best practices within agile teams
• Create reusable templates in dbt
• Serve as a subject matter expert for data analytics best practices
• Participate in discovery and requirements gathering as a technical expert
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as needed

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with dbt and Snowflake (or similar tools)
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI
• Understanding of data governance and security best practices

Required Knowledge:

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and processes
• Deep understanding of modern analytics stack
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
• Experience with modern cloud data warehouses
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is preferred

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in similar roles
