A leading staffing agency in Toronto seeks a SharePoint expert for a 12-month contract role. The position offers hybrid work flexibility, requiring presence in the office on specified days. You will be responsible for managing SharePoint content, migrating from Classic to Modern, and ensuring accessibility compliance. Ideal candidates have 2-3 years of experience with SharePoint in an enterprise setting, alongside strong communication skills. The role starts in February, and interviews will proceed quickly via MS Teams.
Build, edit, and publish pages while managing content libraries, permissions, metadata, and site structures.
Support migrations from SharePoint Classic to Modern, including content mapping, IA redesign, and troubleshooting.
Maintain strict governance standards for page templates and navigation quality.
Organize complex information to improve findability and the overall user experience.
Apply UX principles to page layouts and recommend usability improvements aligned with enterprise standards.
Review all content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
Ensure every page meets WCAG 2.1+ accessibility requirements, conducting rigorous QA checks on formatting and functional testing.
Partner with Communications and various business units to deliver high‑impact digital workspaces.
Provide expert guidance and coaching to content owners on SharePoint best practices.
Nice‑to‑Have Skills:
This is a 12‑month contract opportunity with a high possibility of extension or conversion to a full‑time role based on business performance. You will join a dedicated, three‑person team responsible for the enterprise’s internal digital landscape, operating out of a premier office at 81 Bay St. The role follows a hybrid model, requiring your presence in the office on Thursdays and the fourth Friday of each month.
Interviews are expected to move quickly via MS Teams, consisting of a two‑round process with the Team Lead and Hiring Manager. We are looking for a SharePoint expert ready to hit the ground running by the week of February 2nd to help drive our content modernization and accessibility initiatives forward.
