What you can expect to do here:
  • Manage and deliver infrastructure design solutions to customers — this includes report and proposal writing, business development, client liaison, and project management.
  • Conduct Preliminary and Detailed Design of civil works for municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities, water supply systems, sanitary sewers, and stormwater systems.
  • Build, lead, and manage multidisciplinary project teams focused on client specified requirements — projects may include planning, engineering design, construction, and financial management deliverables.
  • Take a leadership role in the expansion of business opportunities and execution of major municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Lead, develop and empower a diverse group of professionals and technical support staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring to WSP:
  • Minimum 8 years of technical engineering skills in planning and design of municipal projects, with water and wastewater systems experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental or mechanical engineering; Master's degree is an asset.
  • Professional Engineer or eligibility for registration with EGM.
  • Strong project management and discipline lead skills.
  • Strong inter-personal skills to assist project delivery with complex teams, and with mentoring and training colleagues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and prepare written reports and documents.
  • Strong organizational skills in both information and time management.
  • Experience in business development and building client relationships.
  • Experience with project management and project delivery according to quality standards.
  • Proven record of independently leading successful projects.
  • Detailed design, procurement, contract administration, and commissioning experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
