Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

The GTA region, influenced by a rich tapestry of international cultures, is at the forefront of architectural design, specializing in transportation facilities and sports and entertainment venues. Responsibilities

  1. Producing and overseeing technical design and contract documents in line with Owner’s Statement of Requirements, collaborating with project teams.
  2. Validating that designs and deliverables meet technical guidelines, codes, and regulations, in coordination with senior team members.
  3. Providing technical design solutions for facility construction, including interior and exterior assemblies.
  4. Coordinating internal production teams and with project sub-consultants.
  5. Offering technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff.
  6. Assisting with contract administration, including site visits and working with contractors.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in architectural or building technology from an accredited technical college.
  • 10+ years of experience as an Architectural Technologist in an architectural consulting firm, with expertise in commercial, institutional, transit, or industrial projects.
  • Strong product knowledge and ability to detail architectural building systems.
  • Construction site experience.
  • Understanding of current energy and sustainability standards in Canada.
  • Proficiency in REVIT software is required.
  • Preference for candidates familiar with BIM principles, Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, and construction site experience.
