Overview

You’ll love it here! Join our collaborative team as a senior analyst and transform data into impactful insights to shape our customer experience and business growth.

As a senior analyst for our protection and services products, including membership and Geek Squad Services, you will help us deliver value through reporting and analytics. You will develop and maintain automated, accurate and visually reporting solutions using tools like SQL, Excel and Power BI. You\u2019ll use your strong SQL skills to build and maintain the powerful backend data structures that fuel our reporting and analytics.

The successful candidate is needed to be located within Lower Mainland, BC, where our team practices a remote working model, leveraging in person interactions for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

Responsibilities
  • Produce accurate, timely and relevant performance reporting primarily for our protection business, including attach performance, pricing impacts, and claim experience.

  • Write complex SQL queries to extract and transform reporting data from multiple database sources.

  • Deliver high-quality, fact-based analytic support to stakeholders across our business, focusing on protection performance and where applicable, how it impacts our membership and services businesses

  • Maintain and trouble-shoot existing reporting infrastructure including materialized views, automated data extracts, and user tools.

  • Partner with internal and external partners to improve efficiency and accuracy of related business processes.

  • Perform detailed reconciliations of protection accounts and develop in-depth understanding of related system processes.

What we’re looking for
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in data management and analytics

  • High proficiency in SQL for querying and managing large datasets

  • Advanced skills in excel and Power BI

  • Working knowledge of DAX and MDX for data modeling and analysis

  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python

  • Background or familiarity in warranty, insurance, or actuarial science is a strong asset
