Job Description

As Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for the production, development, enhancement and maintenance of platform financial reporting for external, management and other reporting needs. You will provide production support in quarterly, monthly and year‑end reporting activities and implement automated solutions according to business requirements.

What will you do?
  • Accountable for the production, maintenance and enhancements of required financial management reports.
  • Accountable for the timely development and delivery of scheduled, new and ad‑hoc reports and change requests.
  • Support the Finance teams responsible for the financial reporting of Total RBC.
  • Interact with Finance/business platforms to ensure accurate understanding of report requirements and provide timely response to user requests.
  • Interact with RBC’s auditors: internal, external, SOX controls.
  • Ensure report and quality standards are adhered to and continuous improvement initiatives are embedded within production and development.
  • Ensure adequate and up‑to‑date documentation on workflow tickets, report inventory, reporting processes and related activities/components.
  • Responsible for ensuring KPI metrics and quality standards are adhered to.
What do you need to succeed?
Must‑Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting/Finance or Finance/Accounting designation or equivalent education and experience.
  • Quick learner to grasp new reporting tools within a very short time frame and apply the skills to develop, run and maintain financial reports.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Intermediate knowledge of VBA (Visual Basic for Application) or equivalent programming language.
Nice‑to‑have
  • Knowledge of Certent CDM, Cognos TM1, Cognos Analytics, TM1 Perspectives, IBM Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE).
  • Programming (SQL, WebFOCUS, etc.).
  • Lean Six Sigma tools; Agile Methodology; Quality Assurance.
