Overview

What is the opportunity?

The Investment Counsellor Services (ICS) Cash Preparation Group is a team of administrators responsible for the timely acceptance, validation and preparation of client instructions before delivery to the Cash Processing Teams for execution. In this role, you will work proactively and collaboratively with other business units and client-facing teams to ensure delivery of positive, client-centric outcomes. Your role involves servicing an assigned group of accounts in accordance with client-specific desk operating procedures. It also requires investigation and queries relating to the processing of instructions by the ICS Cash Prep team. In addition, you will ensure that ICS segment specific requirements are met as well as all related RBCIS policies and procedures.

What will you do?
  • Ensure timely and accurate acceptance, validation and preparation of client instructions before delivering to Cash Processing Teams
  • Create, review and, where needed, update desk operating procedures and identify and resolve recurring problems to ensure corrective actions and proper procedures are put in place
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures currently in place, and identify any gaps in processes that might increase risk and highlight to management for remediation
  • Ensure second level review is completed on identified processes within the team and issues or potential problems are immediately escalated to management for resolution
  • Develop an understanding of assigned clients and their unique requirements, processes and structures and ensure continuity of client service by providing colleagues with ongoing cross training on accounts and bespoke processes
  • Share knowledge with team members to assist in the resolution of more complex problems
  • Contribute to the success of the department by supporting and assisting other team members in meeting daily deliverables
  • Validate client instructions against ICS segment specific processes and procedures and identify instructions that fall out of normal scope for escalation

  • Strong working knowledge/experience in the financial services industry, specifically in custody and ICS client segment
  • Proficiency in MS Office including experience using and creating Excel macros
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven client service skills
  • Issues escalation and resolution skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
  • Detail oriented

Nice-to-have:

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$55,000.00 - $90,000.00
