Description Our client, in the private equity industry, is looking for a newly designated CPA with solid public practice / ASPE experience to take on this role. This company is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company in downtown Vancouver with businesses in various provinces. Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:


- Ensuring that all acquisitions are correctly accounted for - including the preparation and approval of post- closing adjustments after acquisition;

- Preparing financial statements of all entities acquired and/or formed in connection with the acquisitions for first and subsequent year ends;

- Creating complete working paper files including documentation supporting final financial statements;

- Working with vendors, as well as their accountants and lawyers, to ensure sufficient acquisition records are obtained in order to properly manage target companies going forward.

- Involvement in due diligence procedures preceding acquisition of entities;
- Some routine and administrative tasks including but not limited to GST and Statistics Canada Filings related to acquired entities;
- Possible involvement in financial modeling and forecasting; and
- Other related duties as required.


Suitable person will be a newly designated CPA with minimum 2 years solid experience working in public practice, preferably from private enterprise division. Exposure to real estate and transactional work or corporate finance area will definitely be assets. In addition to your technical accounting knowledge, you will possess strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Superior ability to think critically and solve problems that are challenging and unique on a case by case basis. Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 negotiable with discretionary bonus, hybrid work arrangement and excellent benefits.
