Job description

Position: Senior Accountant

With over 75 years of experience, Hauser is a leading Canadian designer, manufacturer, and retailer of high-quality commercial furnishings for interior and exterior spaces. As a private, third-generation, family-owned business, we operate a manufacturing facility, four retail locations, and a growing e-commerce channel, serving customers across North America. We take pride in building durable, functional products that are thoughtfully designed and sustainably made in Canada.

We are growing and are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our in-house finance team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to take ownership, think beyond routine accounting tasks, and contribute to how the business operates. You will work closely with the Controller and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, improving processes, and providing insight that supports better decision-making across the organization. If you enjoy accountability, problem-solving, and building structure in a growing business, this role offers meaningful responsibility and room to grow.

  • Assist in the financial planning and budgeting process.
  • Identify control gaps and lead process improvements.
  • Review accounts receivable and take ownership of follow-ups and collections.

  • Self-starter who takes ownership and pushes work forward without being prompted.
  • Business-minded thinker, not task-focused support staff.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving change.
  • Prior leadership or project ownership experience.
