Join a thriving accounting environment where your expertise as a Senior Accountant will drive impactful financial results. This role is pivotal in managing assurance and compilation engagements, preparing both corporate and personal income tax returns, and collaborating closely with senior team members to provide strategic advice to clients. In this position, you will lead multiple engagements, mentor junior staff, and ensure the delivery of exceptional work in a dynamic and supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage client engagements, working in conjunction with senior partners and managers to strategize and execute projects efficiently.
  • Prepare comprehensive working papers, review complex tax returns, and compile financial statements with detailed note disclosures.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients to manage timelines and facilitate productive meetings.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on larger engagements and fostering their development.
  • Regularly report to partners on the progress of engagements and address any arising issues promptly.
  • Finalize and deliver financial statements and workpapers for senior review.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client businesses to anticipate and address their needs effectively.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and CPA, CA designation with at least 3 years of experience in a CPA firm, including significant audit experience and leadership in managing teams and engagements.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team.
  • Proficiency in standard software applications used in CPA firms.
  • Solid understanding of Canadian corporate and personal tax matters.
