Job description

Commissionaires BC is currently looking for Security professionals to work at a Government of Canada site in Summerland. As a Security Officer, you\'ll be responsible for site access control and continuous foot and vehicle patrols of the interior and exterior of the building.

Payrate: $21.00/hour

We have the following permanent positions available:

  • Saturday & Sunday 4pm - 12am (Starting Oct 1)
Qualifications
  • BC Security Workers License
  • 5 years living in Canada, due to clearance requirements
  • Class 5 Driver\'s License with a clear driver\'s abstract
  • Basic First Aid / OFA 1
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience in preparing security reports
  • Proficient with MS Office and comfortable with using computers
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances
Job Duties
  • Provides excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and providing solutions. Liaison between the site and the public
  • Interior and exterior patrols, including extensive walking patrols
  • Access Control and visitor verification
  • Gate checks
  • Lowering and raising of flags
  • Snow clearing
