- Schedule: Continental Days Only (0700‑1900)
- Payrate: $18.61/hour
- Overtime Method: Ontario Averaging Agreement (AA) After 88 Hours

Site Description
The Lennox and Addington County General Hospital is focused on general medicine and surgery, offering core services. Specialists from Kingston hold clinics every year, and emergency services operate 24 hours a day, caring for over 26,000 patients annually.
Job Description
- Proactive & reactive security patrols of main site and outlying facilities
- Patient Watches
- Response to incidents and intervention
- De‑escalation
- Surveillance monitoring
- Report writing
- Investigate routine incidents
- Parking and smoking enforcement/by‑laws
- Policy awareness and enforcement
- Additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C from an WSIB‑approved source
- Proof of minimum double COVID‑19 vaccination
- Immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, TB Skin Tests – Step 1 & 2). Completed MMR immunization is required at hire. Unimmunized applicants are not eligible.
- IMF and MOAB documentation: Must provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB). Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin’s UoF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding; training costs are covered with a 6‑month commitment.
- Ability to complete extensive patrols, sit/stand up to 12 hours per shift
- Ability to work alone, self‑motivated
- Fluency in English (oral & written)
- Excellent communication and de‑escalation skills required
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
