A local school district is seeking a Secondary School Assistant to perform clerical duties and reception work in a school environment. The ideal candidate should have sound knowledge of business English, be proficient in computer operations, and have the ability to interact effectively with students and staff. This position offers a pay rate of $28.98/hour and requires completion of 12th grade or equivalent. Benefits included upon successful probation completion.
SECONDARY SCHOOL ASSISTANT – 25.75 hours/week, School Term

This is keyboarding, clerical and reception work of moderate complexity and some variety in performing duties in accordance with well-developed methods and procedures in which some independence of action and judgement is exercised in the more routine aspects of the work. Assignments are received orally and in writing and work performance is reviewed and evaluated by an administrator in terms of effective services rendered to the school.
Completion of the 12th grade or equivalent plus basic first aid, including courses in keyboarding, computer and software applications and commercial subjects. Six months related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Your rate of pay will be $28.98/hour, shall be entitled to benefits as per the Collective Agreement who have successfully completed the prescribed period of probation. Please see Article 6.1 of the Collective Agreement for more information.
