Overview

Join to apply for the Seasonal Alterations Specialist role at David's Bridal.

Alterations Specialists are responsible for completing all fittings and alterations to the high standards of David's Bridal and report to the Store Manager. They exemplify friendly, knowledgeable, and technical expertise and provide superior customer service. They are members of the store team and demonstrate the value and qualities of the David's Bridal brand.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone, via virtual chats and in person, communicate clearly, adapt style to suit customers, problem solve, demonstrate excellent phone skills, and resolve conflicts.
  • Use all systems to manage the customer flow and deliver a five-star customer experience.
  • Maintain service levels by being Prepared, Welcoming, Meeting the Needs, and Being There for all customers, including completing operational checklists and addressing emotional and practical needs.
  • Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at once and contribute to the store's Five-Star Customer Service.
  • Proactively address customer concerns with confidence; know when to escalate and partner with the leadership team.
  • Explain how alterations contribute to the overall dress experience and promote alteration services and personalization options.
  • Assist stylists in closing sales by consulting with customers on gown fit and customization.
  • Maintain store standards to support a flawless shopping experience and ensure compliance with Dress Code Policy.
  • Escort alterations customers to and from alterations appointments and inspect garments for quality before final delivery.
  • Respond promptly to customer questions with product and service information; build relationships to meet and exceed customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain inventory management for special orders and ensure first-quality standards for merchandise.
  • Ensure alteration pricing aligns with company standards and manage all alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning to company standards.
  • Resolve customer service issues in a swift, compliant manner and support all cash wrap processes with accuracy.
  • Keep the alterations area clean, organized, and safe; perform tasks as assigned by store management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of retail experience in apparel or a specialty store environment.
  • Prior sewing experience, preferably in bridal and / or special occasion production.
  • Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) systems is a plus.
