Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented SCM professional with expertise in procurement, logistics, expediting, master data management, and supplier quality. This role is essential in ensuring timely procurement activities, streamlining supply chain logistics, maintaining accurate data, and pre-qualifying suppliers for our electric manufacturing operations.

With a focus on cross-department collaboration, the SCM Procurement Specialist will work closely with various departments to understand their procurement needs, communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on purchasing strategies and resolve issues related to schedule, quality, and cost.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source suppliers and procure materials, parts, and services according to company requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms & conditions, and pricing with suppliers.
  • Generate and process purchase orders and ensure timely approval and dispatch to suppliers.
  • Monitor order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Resolve delivery issues, including delays or damaged goods, by liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Maintain communication with all stakeholders to provide updates on order progress and potential delays.
  • Organize and coordinate transportation and logistics activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials.
  • Collaborate with freight forwarders and logistics providers to optimize shipment schedules and costs.
  • Handle import/export documentation and compliance for international shipments.
  • Ensure suppliers meet the company's criteria for Supplier Pre-Qualification.
  • Manage Supplier non-conformances.
  • Maintain supplier databases and track performance metrics for continued qualification.
  • Manage the creation, updating, and accuracy of material master data in the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure data consistency across all business processes.
  • Ensure procurement practices comply with organizational policies and external regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to procurement activities.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activity, costs, and supplier performance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field highly desirable.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Skills:
  • Certification such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NAV, SAP, Oracle).
  • Knowledge of contract management and legal terms.
  • Experience in electrical manufacturing sector.
