Responsibilities
- Create the Test Strategy to understand all aspects of the project related to Quality and Test Objectives
- Create Test Plan, Testing Readiness documents and Test schedule to ensure all required sections are created with sufficient detail to cover the scope of the project as per the Test Strategy. Ensure documents are reviewed and approved by the required parties.
- Verify that all requirements’ documents are reviewed and provide document review completion report along with list of issues and action plan to address issues
- Create Requirements Traceability Matrix and ensure it covers test cases mapped to all applications/reports/interfaces requirements in scope of the project
- Work with the business to identify all End to End scenarios, obtain business approval.
- For each E2E scenario identify high level steps that will be used later to create corresponding test cases.
- Lead the testing team during the creation of test cases.
- Review test cases in the test management tool and ensure negative and positive scenarios are created to cover all requirements. Ensure test cases are created with detailed steps including pre-requisites and reference to test data as needed.
- Ensure test environment and test data preparation activities are completed base on testing schedule
- Oversee Test Execution for Functional, SIT, UAT and Non-Functional testing to ensure full coverage and adherence to schedule. Test evidence, test results and defect details must be entered into the test management tool.
- Lead the defect triage meetings and ensure defect management process is being followed
- Review Record of Test Results and Deficiency Form for accuracy, completeness and sufficient level of detail. Ensure the Test Results and Deficiency Form are reviewed and approved by the required parties.
- Keep track of project risks affecting testing and develop mitigation plans to address risks
- Keep track of all testing related tasks in the detailed testing schedule along with percent completion, completion dates and assessment on quality of work
