The Opportunity

Responsible for managing and providing SAP support to Sunoco Logistics users within functional and technical areas of expertise. This includes interacting with users to understand requirements, evaluating alternative solutions, resolving problems/issues, developing training materials, providing user training, communicating status and documenting system changes (e.g. new reports and functionality) to the appropriate business levels in the organization.

Responsibilities
Project Management
  • Plans, directs and coordinates activities in order to ensure project goals are accomplished within defined constraints.
  • Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
Problem Resolution
  • Research production problems and/or enhancement issues and make appropriate configuration changes to the system. Initiate action and evaluate issues to develop alternative solutions. Apply expert knowledge and experience to resolve problems.
  • Conduct day-to-day troubleshooting and break‑fix activities. Provide telephone support to share in the 24x7 365 day support of SAP production system.
  • Responsible for SAP IS‑OIL modules and components (e.g. SD) by taking business problems and configuring them to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) lead for all IS‑OIL functions including but not limited to sales and purchase structures, physical sales, purchase/exchange deals/contracts, order processing, paper deals, pricing (including F&A pricing), rail/truck/vessel/pipeline scheduling (TD and TSW), shipment actualization and invoicing (including integration with FI module).
Continuous Improvement and Efficiency Projects
  • Interact with all levels of business to analyze business requirements/processes. Translate high‑level business requirements into detailed SAP functional specifications and design.
  • Configure SAP and develop/perform unit tests in accordance with specifications.
  • Recommend and implement approved process improvements or new functionality.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the business on various approaches by explaining industry best practices for business processes and executing solutions.
  • Have good knowledge of SAP releases and patches, including applying OSS notes.
  • Document business procedures, configuration changes, test scenarios, test plans and results, and client training materials.
Data Integration and Configuration
  • Write functional specifications and design for modifications and development of existing/new interfaces.
  • Insure that the appropriate data gets to/from non‑SAP systems for all process and functional integration requirements.
Knowledge Transfer/Mentor
  • Develop and conduct SAP training and knowledge transfer to Sunoco Logistics business clients.
  • Proactively train other IT resources to further develop their understanding of SAP application configuration and business processes.
SOX Compliance
  • Ensure that changes/enhancements are completed using appropriate SOX control processes. Recommend/implement SOX change control process changes as necessary.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or accounting or equivalent work experience 7+ (w/degree) 15+ (w/o degree) 2 SAP full project life cycle implementations.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry (required) I/S Oil experience (required)
  • Demonstrated enterprise‑level project management experience implementing SAP.
  • Expert knowledge of SAP IS/OIL, ECC 6.0.
  • Expert knowledge of sales and distribution, physical sales, purchase/exchange deals/contracts, pricing (including F&A pricing), scheduling (TD and TSW), shipment actualization and invoicing functions in SAP.
  • Demonstrate ability to design and configure SAP in areas of expertise.
  • Functional knowledge of integration with Finance modules desired.
