Overview

Supervise staff, assign duties, hire and train, order merchandise, authorize returns, establish schedules, prepare reports, resolve issues, organize inventory, and manage cash.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff (apprentices, stage hands, design team, etc.)
• Assign sales workers to duties
• Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
• Order merchandise
• Authorize return of merchandise
• Establish work schedules
• Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
• Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
• Organize and maintain inventory
• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers
• Manage cash

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high school) graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a supervisory or retail role
• Language: English
• Eligible candidates: Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and temporary residents with a valid work permit
