Business Development / Outside Sales Representative – Toronto Territory
Summary/About the Role

Fresh Start Foods is hiring a Full-Time, Permanent Outside Sales Representative to drive business development and market penetration across the Toronto territory. This role is perfect for a "hunter" who thrives on lead generation, client relationship management, and closing new accounts. You will work remotely within your territory, with twice-weekly visits to our Milton, ON office.

Key Responsibilities/What You Will Do
  • Drive Sales Growth: Proactively identify, prospect, and close new B2B sales opportunities to exceed monthly and annual revenue targets.

  • Strategic Account Management: Create and execute a robust sales strategy and business plan for your assigned territory to ensure long-term growth.

  • Market Penetration: Develop action plans to break into new market segments and secure high-potential foodservice accounts.

  • Client Relationship Building: Act as a dedicated Account Manager, nurturing relationships to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations and Product Development teams to provide tailored solutions and superior service to your clients.

  • Sales Presentations: Confidently represent Fresh Start Foods, delivering compelling pitches to key stakeholders and decision-makers.

Required Qualifications/Skills
  • Proven Sales Success: 3+ years of experience in direct sales, outside sales, or account management with a track record of exceeding quotas.

  • Hunter Mentality: A results-driven professional with a relentless drive to secure new business and close deals effectively.

  • Exceptional Negotiation Skills: Expert at navigating complex contracts and high-level negotiations with diplomacy and persuasion.

  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and CRM tools to track sales activity and present results.

  • Industry Experience: Experience in the Foodservice or Hospitality industry is highly preferred.

  • Mobility: Must hold a valid Class G Driver’s License and have a reliable vehicle for travel throughout the Toronto area.

  • Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business or a related field is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: From $60,000 per year plus commission.

  • Allowance: Monthly car allowance provided for travel.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (Milton office 2x per week).
