Sales Director

Location: Mascouche, QC

Work Hours: Monday to Saturday 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM; 1 Saturday/month 09:00 AM – 01:00 PM

Job Status: New position

Seniority Level: Director

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: Salary $120,000 – $135,000 annually; estimate for new hires $180,000 – $200,000 or more depending on experience, education and bonuses.

Summary: The Sales Director is responsible for driving the sales strategy, growth, and profitability of the company’s slab/countertop and flooring products in Quebec and Eastern Canada, including the Atlantic territories. This role includes developing and executing sales plans, managing a team of sales professionals, building strong relationships with customers, distributors and vendors, expanding market share, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring product quality and service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for slab and flooring products to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Lead and mentor a high‑performing sales team; provide coaching, performance reviews, and ongoing training.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and vendors to support long‑term growth.
  • Identify market trends and growth opportunities; drive business development and market expansion efforts.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and performance reports; use data to refine strategies and meet sales targets.
  • Collaborate with operations and product teams to ensure timely deliveries and inventory availability.
  • Provide training on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service for the sales team.
  • Partner with marketing to support brand positioning and drive demand through targeted campaigns.
  • Monitor key sales KPIs and adjust tactics to ensure business growth and customer retention.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals with key customers and distributors, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Support additional business initiatives as directed by senior leadership.
  • Perform additional duties as required or requested.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably in countertop, flooring, or construction materials.
  • Previous experience managing multi‑million‑dollar pipelines and driving revenue growth.
  • In‑depth knowledge of countertop and/or flooring products, including materials and market trends.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Results‑driven with the ability to analyze market data and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Proven decision‑making and problem‑solving skills under pressure.
  • Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel 50–75% locally, with occasional travel to trade shows and regional offices.
  • Self‑motivated and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment.
  • Fluent in French (written and spoken) and communicative in English.

  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
  • Frequently sit; occasionally stand or walk.
