Job summary

A leading heavy truck dealership in Laval is looking for a Sales Coordinator to support the sales department's operations. The successful candidate will liaise with customers and suppliers, manage invoices, and assist the VP of Sales. International Rive-Nord is a heavy truck dealership that has been in business for over 70 years. We are currently seeking a Sales Coordinator to join our team in Laval. This position could lead to a permanent role within the company, with responsibilities different from those of Sales Coordinator.

As Sales Coordinator, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the sales department by collaborating with customers, suppliers, and sales representatives.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the VP of Sales
  • Open files for ordered, sold, in-stock, and used trucks
  • Analyze sales programs in detail for each unit ordered and apply specific details based on various criteria
  • Validate truck preparation and review it with the salesperson and/or technician, then forward it to the service department for work orders. Monitor preparation progress and any necessary additions
  • Open purchase orders for suppliers, carriers, and customs, forward the relevant information to all parties involved; close purchase orders at the appropriate time
  • Liaise between customers, representatives, other departments, creditors, and insurance companies to address their sales-related inquiries
  • Validate work orders, supplier invoices, carrier invoices, and other documents against the accounting report
  • Complete Form 218 to validate unit costs and profits, review all information with salespeople to ensure compliance, submit important information to accounting
  • Validate complex files related to the SAAQ (Quebec Automobile Insurance Corporation)
  • Prepare sales invoices for trucks, warranties, registrations, and other documents. Track payments
  • Coordinate unit deliveries to customers and suppliers
  • Manage after-sales customer requests related to government programs, insurance, registrations, financing, warranties, and other matters
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Experience in a similar position or any other relevant experience (automotive/heavy truck) (an asset)
  • Knowledge of the CDK Global system (an asset)
  • Bilingualism, both spoken and written (an asset)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to make quick decisions to ensure smooth operations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
