As the Safety & Training Supervisor with MWM Environmental you will lead a wide variety of training and safety planning/implementation across the three Manitoba divisions. As the lead trainer for new Class 3 Driver’s, you will require a Class 3 License and driving experience to effectively provide hands on training for new and existing drivers. There will be frequent travel needed across the divisions during weekdays, with a guarantee to be home every weekend and stable working hours. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Orientate and lead training of all new and existing employees, with a focus on hands-on training of all new and existing driver’s including frequent ride-a-longs and annual reviews
• Coordinate and implement organization-wide training and safety activities.
• Serve as an information resource and advisor for staff regarding safety questions, and lead safety committee meetings.
• Maintain COR certifications and lead COR certification process for new divisions
• Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace environment and work with Management staff to implement change.
• Implement corrective action when employees engage in unsafe practices

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Education and Training in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), including familiarity with COR Safety Programs, Safety Legislation, Hazard Identification, and Safe-Work Practices.
• Valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence with demonstrated professional driving experience.
• Driver training or instructional experience is considered a strong asset.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel and preparing reports.
• Strong aptitude for learning new software systems. Prior experience with SiteDocs, Fleetio, Samsara, or comparable programs will be considered an asset.
