Overview

Position Title: Safety Coordinator

Department: Safety

Location: Rosenort, MB

The Opportunity

The Safety Coordinator works closely with the supervisors, Joint Health and Safety Committee and floor employees. This position works to continually improve our safety awareness and performance.

Responsibilities

• Complete and track all monthly inspections
• Complete monthly KPI’s and reporting
• Organize all safety training
• Coordinate emergency response drills
• Make safety recommendations as situations arise
• Chair health and safety meetings
• Assist in aligning safety policies/practices
• Update/create hazard assessments
• Complete safety investigations including finding root causes
• Follow up with safety action items
• Complete safety orientations
• Coordinate third party service (hygiene assessments, safety consultations)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Post-secondary education in Safety is an asset
• Minimum 3 years health and safety experience
