UNCERTIFIED TEACHERS TEACHING ON CALL IN MACKENZIE, BC - SD No. 57

Our District is seeking enthusiastic individuals to work as casual Uncertified Teachers Teaching on Call in Mackenzie, BC. Applicants will preferably have a minimum of three years of post-secondary education at the university level, along with a variety of recent experiences working with either children or teens in a coaching, mentoring or employment capacity.

This posting is specific to individuals willing to work in the rural community of Mackenzie, BC. Please check the location of this community prior to applying to this posting.

Position Details

Applicants must be prepared to work on a casual on-call basis in any school in their geographical area. A reliable vehicle/transportation is essential to this role.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Up to $1,000 relocation allowance for teachers’ relocation from within BC; Up to $1,500 for teachers relocating from AB, SK & MB; and up to $2,000 for teachers relocating from all other provinces and out of country.
  • Salary as per collective agreement. Current salary grid is $49,769 - $95,681. Salary is based on TQS and prior experience.
  • Benefits as per collective agreement with option to enroll in Dental, Extended Health, and Group Life Insurance. Benefits are employer paid based on FTE

School District No.57 resides on the unceded ancestral lands of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nations, McLeod Lake Indian Band and the Simpcw First Nations. Geographically we expand from Mackenzie, through Prince George, to McBride and Valemount. We serve 41 schools: 32 Elementary schools, 8 Secondary schools and 1 District Learning Support center for alternative and alternate learning opportunities. We provide educational programs for approximately 15,000 students inclusive of early learning, after school art and sports programming, trades programs, and dual credit programs with our local post-secondary schools. We support Lheidli T’enneh students, McLeod Lake students and Takla students living on reserve through our Local Education Agreements. With each Nation we co-construct the educational services provided to the students while attending a school within our school district.
